A Career as a Home Care Aide

New York City resident Abraham Kadymir is a certified senior care manager with US Veteran Care. As an advocate for senior veterans, he connects service users to qualified and competent personal care aides and works to create a positive work environment for the staff. Since Abraham Kadymir’s began serving as a senior care manager the field has grown quickly, with employment numbers predicted to continue rising.

Over the course of the next ten years, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the number of home health and personal care assistants employed in the country will rise by about 568,000 annually. This would represent a 34% increase in jobs from 2019 to 2029, which is far higher than the 4% increase in jobs expected for all occupations.

The preference of older persons to live in their own homes is growing, and this trend intensified during the epidemic. In addition to being safer and more comfortable in their own homes, vulnerable individuals can receive home care for a lower cost than they would in a nursing home or other comparable institution.

It's a fantastic moment for kind and capable people because there is a growing need for home care assistants.
